Space waffles were a type of food that could be found on the planet of Lothal by 3272 LY. Old Jho's Pit Stop served them with muja sauce topping, which was favored by Kanan Jarrus. Space waffles were also served at Ronto Grill, a restaurant at the wharf on Level 1313 of Coruscant's underworld during the Clone Wars.
Hera Syndulla once added space waffles to her shopping list, among other things. Garazeb Orrelios' crewmates Ezra Bridger and Chopper once interrupted his meal of space waffles. Gooti Terez once served a plate of space waffles to her fellow Iron Squadron members. Jonner Jin asked Hera Syndulla if she wanted some, but Syndulla declined, saying that she did not have time.
Z'Vk'Thkrkza, proprietor of Aunt Z's Tavern on the Colossus, had a tattoo of a space waffle and crossed cooking implements on her shoulder.
Space waffles were first mentioned in a shopping list given to Ezra Bridger and Garazeb Orrelios by Hera Syndulla in the Star Wars Rebels episode "Fighter Flight," although the writing is too small to be read in the actual episode. They made their first on-screen appearance a few episodes later, in the episode "Out of Darkness."
