Space opera

Space opera is a genre of science fiction in theater and comic book entertainment. The theater Five Star Entertainment located in the City of Masks on Genarius performed a space opera named "A Rodian Love Story."

Space opera is a real-world subgenre of science fiction which is itself a genre of speculative fiction that emphasizes romantic adventure, exotic places, and larger-than-life characters in a galactic or intergalactic setting.

Star Wars is typically characterized as belonging to the space opera genre, and many classic space opera serials such as Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers were among the impressions that inspired George Lucas into making the Star Wars movies.

The further expansion of the Star Wars universe carries on the tradition of space opera beyond the films.
