In 42 BBY, Dooku met with his former Padawan, the Jedi Rael Averross, in the Galactic Senate Building on the planet Coruscant. As they reminisced about the death of Averross' apprentice, the Tholothian Nim Pianna, from years before, Dooku suggested they imbibe his bottle of Soulean brandy in her honor. Averross declined, proposing Dooku share the beverage with his other close colleagues, the Jedi Lene Kostana and Sifo-Dyas.
Around 23 BBY, Dooku sent his recently recruited Sith assassin, Asajj Ventress, to investigate his sister Jenza's location. After Ventress found Jenza, the latter told her of Dooku's conversation with Averross about Soulean brandy years before.
