The soshinyday blobball (or just blobball) was an edible product from Naboo which the Gungans of old considered a delicacy despite its unpleasant odor. By the Fall of the Republic, it had become extremely rare. Boss Rugor Nass, who had not seen a blobball since he was a child, sent Jar Jar Binks on a dangerous quest to find one. However, he only described it as "magic," leading Binks to believe he was looking for a precious artifact rather than rare food. After facing many dangers with the help of Padmé Amidala, Queen of the Naboo, Binks was dismayed to see Boss Nass taking a bite of what turned out to be a "bombad snack."
