Soprin was a female Human Doctor working for Czerka Corporation during the Cold War. She was part of the team under Director Antayen which worked on Tatooine excavating an ancient alien device, which was in fact an Infinite Empire mind prison holding a Rakata known as the Imprisoned One.
She was critical of Doctor Lerek’s wariness of the artifact and expressed relief when he left the team, though conceded that his theories regarding the artifact’s origins were logical. Lerek's concerns were later proven justified, as The Imprisoned One broke free and killed and enslaved almost all of the personnel present at research base at that time. As Soprin had been personally examining the mind prison at the time, she was more than likely the first to have been killed or enslaved by the Imprisoned One.
