The slug-beetle was a species of small blue, winged beetle that lived on the planets Naboo and Tatooine. On Naboo, they lived exclusively amongst the roots of the perlote tree, which grew only in the world's eastern swamps. Gungans could eat the insects whole, and they were a favorite snack of Senator Jar Jar Binks.
