Sling racers were modified airspeeders very similar to podracers, with repulsors only being used to hover above ground. Another similarity was that each pilot had to concentrate more on operating and controlling the individual jets and engines, thus concentrating less on the actual racecourse.
Two popular models of Sling racer were the SkyFoil Sling Racer and AirDomination Sling Racer, both of which were manufactured by Bespin Motors.
