Sirpar's sun was the sun of Sirpar, a planet controlled by the Galactic Empire. This sun was unusually close and bright for a planet inhabited by humans. This meant that the planet possessed an unusually high gravity and those not native to the planet generally needed to wear polarized goggles or other eyewear when on it in order to protect against its sun's damaging rays. In appearance, it took the form of a dazzlingly intense white dot.
