Sian Tevv


Sian Tevv was a male councillor on the planet Sullust who was affiliated with the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. Members of the Imperial Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion were informed about Tevv when suspicions arose that the local protesters of the Cobalt Laborers' Reformation Front were trying to make ties with the Alliance. When Sullust was used as an Alliance staging area before the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Admiral Gial Ackbar made a promise for Tevv that the rebels would liberate the planet after. Sullust was indeed liberated, and Ackbar and Commander-in-Chief Mon Mothma escorted Tevv for his after.

History


By the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the male individual Sian Tevv was a councillor on the Outer Rim Territories planet Sullust and joined the Alliance. In 3 ABY, an Alliance cell named the Sullustan resistance was secretly active in the planet's capital city of Pinyumb. After suspicion was raised that the local protest group Cobalt Laborers' Reformation Front were attempting to make ties with the Alliance, the chain of command at Sullust's Imperial garrison briefed members of the Imperial Ninety-Seventh Stormtrooper Legion in on rebels with known ties to Sullust, including Tevv as well as Nien Nunb and Corjentain Malaqua, who were members of the Sullustan resistance.

In 4 ABY, the Alliance fleet used Sullust as a staging ground before attacking and destroying the Empire's second Death Star at the moon of Endor. Admiral Gial Ackbar gave his word for Tevv in an official document to Commander-in-Chief Mon Mothma that the Alliance would liberate Sullust from the Empire after. The document was included in an archive of non-electric documents called the The Rebel Files by archivist Hendri Underholt. Ackbar's promise was met with months of fighting which eventually led to Sullust's liberation. After, the admiral and Mothma escorted Tevv into the government center for his ceremonial .

Behind the scenes


Sian Tevv was first mentioned in Canon in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed. Tevv originated in the Star Wars Legends, where he was first mentioned in Bill Slavicsek's Heir to the Empire Sourcebook, released in 1992 as part of West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. He later appeared in the 1996 novel X-Wing: Wedge's Gamble, written by Michael A. Stackpole as the second installment of the Star Wars: X-Wing novel series.
