At some point, Shoon was the homeworld of a gigantic humanoid species. The species had disappeared by 43 ABY, leaving behind a series of ruins that covered the world. In addition, a terrible yet long-forgotten war was once waged on Shoon, leading to the creation of many rings of molten rock and glassy stone on its surface. Like the other worlds of the Senex-Juvex, Shoon was under the control of the aristocratic Ancient Houses of the region.
Shoon was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square L-18.
