Shahn was a Human male communications officer working for the Rebel Alliance under the command of Princess Leia Organa. In 3 ABY, Shahn was part of the crew of the central Kerts-Bhrg field generator during an ambitious Rebel project to use five Krts-Bhrg generators to create a field that could hide the Alliance Fleet within the chromosphere of the star Arbran. As the test started, Shahn received a warning from the nearby Haven Base on Arbra that scanners had detected Imperial craft entering the quadrant, and relayed the warning to Organa.
