Senate Perspective

Plot summary

In 4 BBY, Hera Syndulla tracks a distress call from Nadea Tural, a representative for Thrad in the Imperial Senate, after Tural's ship crashes on the planet Arkanis due to a hyperdrive malfunction. Tural threatens her but is too weak to fight back, and Syndulla rescues her, taking them both aboard the Ghost. Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger are hesitant about bringing the representative aboard, worried that her presence will lead the Empire to target the Spectres even more intensely. However, Syndulla insists that the rebel cause demands they help anyone in need, explaining that they have the chance to prove to Tural that the rebels are good people.

Representative Tural is wary of the Spectres, believing they are traitors to the Empire and assuming they will torture her as a prisoner; instead, the rebels take the opportunity to explain their motives in helping the less fortunate. However, Tural's presence causes the Ghost and its crew to be tracked and boarded by the Imperials. Tural, initially reluctant to trust the rebels, reconsiders her position when the Imperials who come to her aid declare their intentions to execute the rebels without a trial. Tural distracts the Imperials long enough for the rebels to overcome their captors. Upon her departure, the representative suggests that she is more aware of the Empire's hypocrisy in the Senate, and she has begun to see the Empire in a different light.
