Section 1138 was a section of the Galactic Republic Charter accurate as of the Cold War. It dictated that prisoners of war had to be treated fairly by their captors. The captive Imperial Doctor Jurnak appealed to Section 1138 and requested to be provided with escort, when captured by the Barsen'thor on Hoth.
