Sea slug

Sea slugs or sea-slugs were creatures that lived in seas. Decades after 382 BBY, the Scalvi Carli and Tren were playing amongst themselves re-enacting their uncle Bree Menaren's famed encounter with members of the Crulkon species. As Tren—who was playing as Menaren—pretended to stab Carli who was playing as a Crulkon, they told them to "die, Crulkon sea slug!" In 34 ABY, the Ace Squadron pilot Hype Fazon compared his teammates to sea slugs and threatened to leave the squadron if his squadron leader Jarek Yeager continued to make him work with them.

The Mon Calamari Rask Odai disliked children, and he compared them to sea slugs.

Sea slugs were first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Live Fire," the third episode of the second season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on October 20, 2019. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, sea slugs first appeared in "The Spira Regatta," a roleplaying adventure authored by Paul Sudlow for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the first issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine in February 1994. The creature was later spelled as sea-slug in the "A Buyer's Guide to Alternative Starships" article in the fifth issue of Adventure Journal, which was written by Stephen Luminati and published in February 1995.
