Scarif Slush

Scarif Slush was a layered orange, white, and green beverage made using chilled chunks of tropical fruit, a sweet milk-like liquid, and ice. Long before the planet Scarif was devastated by the Galactic Empire in 0 BBY, the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs tried a Scarif Slush for the first time in a small resort there.

Someone then smuggled the recipe for the drink offworld prior to the devastation, allowing Tuggs to include it in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, which he released at some point after publishing his first cookbook in 34 ABY. In the book, Tuggs described the unusual creation as being somewhere between a refreshing beverage and a fruit cocktail, claiming it was an incomparable icy treat that was perfect for anyone celebrating a festival like Life Day in a warmer climate.

Scarif Slush was created as a recipe for the 2021 Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe uses drained and sliced yellow jackfruit, drained and sliced young coconut, a peeled, pitted, and sliced ripe avocado, full-fat coconut milk, packed light brown sugar, finely shaved ice, and sweetened condensed milk.
