Saberhing

Saberhing was a planet in the galaxy. The smuggler Tregga theorized that before being captured by the Galactic Empire on Mimban, the Wookiee Chewbacca raised an orphaned Han Solo, and they together made their living on planets such as Coonee and Saberhing.

When bartender Tivoche Bilure heard the theory on Vandor, he wrote it down in his journal. Bilure did not believe it, however, given that Tregga's implants were known to malfunction. Despite Tregga's theory, Solo and Chewbacca met for the first time on Mimban after they were captured by the Empire.

Saberhing was first mentioned in the 2018 canon replica journal Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales from Vandor, written by Jason Fry.

Saberhing was created by George Lucas as part of Han Solo's backstory, but it was never incorporated into Solo's biography. According to Lucas, Han Solo worked as a mechanic on an assembly line for a spaceship factory on the planet Saberhing. The 2007 reference book The Making of Star Wars: The Definitive Story Behind the Original Film, by Jonathan W. Rinzler, included Lucas' notes that mentioned Saberhing. Saberhing was then introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry.
