Saan

Saan was an Espirion female who knew a number of tales that involved the Galactic Empire's First and Second Death Star superweapons. In one such story, Saan claimed that she and a group of fellow criminals were taken prisoner by the Empire and brought aboard the First Death Star while it was under construction over Geonosis. On the Death Star, Saan and the other prisoners were to assist the Imperial pest controller Jonram Dremel in eradicating a reported creature in the space station's service corridors. After the creature killed several of the prisoners and revealed itself, Saan threw Dremel toward it, attempting to find his remote for their stun collars. However, the remote was retrieved by Saan's fellow prisoner Kricad, who activated the Espirion's stun collar and left her for dead.

The Espirion survived, however, living past the destruction of the Second Death Star. Some time after the First Order defectors of Company 77 came to reside on Kef Bir, an ocean moon of Endor where a portion of the Death Star ruins had fallen, Saan approached the Company 77 member , who was attempting to showcase his bravery by entering the ruins of the Death Star. Saan warned Fry against entering the Death Star, telling several cautionary tales, including her own. Fry ignored her warnings and was attacked by a creature inside the ruins, but Saan appeared to save him, revealing her identity. When fellow Company 77 member Jannah caught up to Fry and scolded him for entering the Death Star on his own, Fry told her that Saan had saved him, but the Espirion had vanished.
