SE-14r light repeating blaster

The SE-14r light repeating blaster, also known as the SE-14r blaster pistol, the SE-14r blaster rifle, or simply the SE-14 pistol, was a light repeating blaster manufactured by BlasTech Industries designed to be disassembled and fitted with a scope. Greatly resembling the SE-14C blaster pistol, it was used by personnel of the Galactic Empire, including the Imperial Intelligence's death troopers, regular stormtroopers, and some officers. At one time, it was only used by Imperial officers.

Imperial Era

During his time as a smuggler, Lando Calrissian owned two chromium-plated SE-14r with Tibrin mother-of-pearl handles and removable barrel extensions. He used one of the SE-14r on missions to Kullgroon and Kessel.

In 9 BBY, Imperial officer Tala Durith, secretly a defector who had been helping smuggle Force-sensitives to safety as part of the Hidden Path, wielded a SE-14r during her service within the battery of Imperial forces stationed on the mining planet Mapuzo. During the Battle on Mapuzo, Durith killed several of the stormtroopers under her command to rescue Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Princess Leia Organa from arrest.

In 5 BBY, the rogue Imperial lieutenant Jovan carried one such pistol, which he used against ISB Agent Kallus while trying to escape Imperial justice. Shortly after the War of the Bounty Hunters, a hooded Luke Skywalker attempted to mind trick two stormtroopers on the river moon of Al'doleem to gain information on what the Empire was doing on Al'doleem. Both troopers were armed with SE-14rs. Still dealing with the recent trauma of losing his right hand during the duel on Cloud City, Skywalker's mind trick attempt, which he attempted to perform with his still-new cybernetic hand, failed. Both troopers raised their SE-14s at the man they assumed to merely be an out of line civilian, ordering him to leave. Maintaining his cover, Skywalker did so and informed his astromech droid, R2-D2, they would need a new plan.

Around 9 ABY, members of Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant utilized this weapon, including stormtroopers and Imperial officers. While undercover as a Juggernaut Pilot of the Morak Imperial remnants, Din Djarin used an SE-14r to kill several pirates attempting to destroy a stolen HCVw A9.2 juggernaut transport on Morak. The weapon either malfunctioned or ran out of charge not long afterwards, at which point Djarin hurled it ineffectually at one of his assailants and resorted to hand-to-hand combat to fend the rest of them off.

Members of the Trandoshan family and Aqualish crime family of Mos Espa later used SE-14rs. However, the showdown on Tatooine largely wiped their forces, cementing the Fett gotra as the leading crime family on Tatooine.

By 35 ABY, Lando Carlissian had used one of his SE-14r to create a custom-crafted prod pistol.
