Rust-weevils were a species of insectoid creatures native to the planet Rystan that were known to feed on metal objects. During the High Republic Era, a number of rust-weevils took to consuming portions of the Open Hand, a ship owned by the elderly woman Kufa, though, as she later told her cousin Marchion Ro, the vessel remained capable of flight.
