Royen was an individual who served as a moff in the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. After the death of Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Royen's fleet was cut off from Imperial support near the Red Hand Cluster and, as such, became a de facto Imperial splinter faction. Caern Adan, an agent in the New Republic's Intelligence branch, mentioned the isolation of Royen's fleet during an address to General Hera Syndulla and the New Republic's Alphabet Squadron.
