Root tea was a type of tea potable by Ithorians. In 4 BBY, after reading the works of the poet Holshef, the Ithorian bartender Jho recalled a time where he tasted root tea as a juvenile. He associated the memory with Pelamir Gorge on the planet Lothal.
Root tea was mentioned in Servants of the Empire: The Secret Academy, a 2015 chapter book written by Jason Fry as part of the Star Wars Rebels: Servants of the Empire series.
