Ron Lussier

Ron Lussier is a video game artist for LucasArts.

He was the lead 3D artist during the production of Star Wars: Rebel Assault. He focused on creating 3D models of various vehicles seen in the Original Trilogy, which would be used in the gameplay and cutscene sections of the game. For this, Lussier had to study artbooks, Star Wars model kits, production sketchbooks and filming models as used for the production of the Trilogy films, kept in the Lucasfilm headquarters; there Lussier also copied part by part a large-scale X-wing model. To save time, Lussier sometimes employed his home PC for rendering, while he was working on his workstations in LucasArts. Specific contributions included the choreography of the dogfight scene for the game's introduction, and the maze of the ice caverns of Hoth. During the production of the game he was responsible for the direction, consistency and continuity.
