The Rights of Sentience Party was a political party of the New Republic. They maintained that, in planets that had been colonized by other species, native sentient species deserved equal say in planetary affairs as the colonists; and if the native sentient species were the majority, then they should have full control of planetary affairs.
It presumably grew out of the Old Republic's Rights of Sentience League.
