Revwien lettuce was a type of lettuce used in the Besalisk Dexter Jettster's restaurant, Dex's Diner, which was located on the planet Coruscant. The lettuce was used as an ingredient in a number of dishes before the diner was destroyed during the first two years of the Galactic Empire's reign.
Such meals included Jettster's Coruscant slider, a slider inspired by his time on the galactic capital; his Shawda Club and Besh-Leth-Trill sandwiches; and the Interstellar garden salad. The lettuce used in the last was grown in VegSatellites orbiting Coruscant. It shared its name with the Revwiens, a species native to the planet Revyia.
Revwien lettuce is mentioned in the 2009 Hyperspace-exclusive article "Dining at Dex's," written by Gregory Walker as an in-universe menu. Walker mentioned Revwiens in the article due to his fondness for abandoned concepts; the Revwiens were intended to appear in the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, but the complexity of their costume forced the idea to be scrapped.
