Repulsor pad

Repulsor pads were devices present in the Jedi Temple, located on the planet Coruscant, that could be used to train the Force power known as controlled descent as well as suspending relics. In 88 BBY, Jedi Initiates Dooku and Sifo-Dyas broke into the Archive of Forbidden Artifacts, a secret vault located in the Jedi Temple, and saw several artifacts suspended on repulsor pads.

Repulsor pads were first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in a flashback sequence in the 2019 audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, written by Cavan Scott. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, repulsor pads were first mentioned in "Freedom Strike Seltos," an adventure written by Bill Smith and published as part of Twin Stars of Kira, a paperback supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games. The book was published in 1993.
