Republic Correctional Authority

However, following the outbreak of the Clone Wars against the Separatist Alliance, the Republic Correctional Authority had replaced their agents with clone shock troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic and began to hold prisoners of war. The organization also maintained and operated several prisons throughout the galaxy, which included prison stations located within deep space and mobile prison ships. Critics of these facilities also made note of their luxurious accommodations at low-level bases as being delicate on corporate crimes.

The Republic Correctional Authority was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products. The Republic Correctional Authority originally appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, a 2002 video game developed and published by LucasArts.
