History

The 1st Tapani Assault Battlegroup was garrisoned in the Tapani sector during the Galactic Civil War.

Organization

A reinforced battle group was comprised of two line regiments, an assault regiment, an armor regiment, and . It included 14,890 personnel, 676 repulsorcraft, and 212 heavy tanks. The battlegroup was considered to the most versatile in the order of battle, with a mixture of both firepower and durability.

Reinforced battlegroups could be augmented by the addition of an artillery regiment, two assault regiments, and a repulsorlift regiment.
