The species was represented in the Galactic Senate from at least the time of the Exar Kun War. Their homeworld was conquered by the Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Wars, before the Battle of Vanquo. Afterwards, at least two members of the species joined the Mandalorian forces, and were present on Taris.
This species first appeared in the comic Tales of the Jedi: The Sith War, published in 1995, as a senator for an unnamed region. It was not seen again until Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Flashpoint, published in 2006. Dustin Weaver, penciller for that issue, referenced this obscure species as a fun tie in to the old series.
