Rayboo

Rayboo were antlered mammals native to the barren ice tundra of the planet Hoth. They gave loud, wailing cries and were hunted by wampas, alpha predators that occupied the top of Hoth's food chain but primarily hunted tauntauns.

In the current Star Wars canon, the sounds of rayboo were created for the video game Star Wars Battlefront, which was released on November 17, 2015. The sounds were based on recordings of elks. Although the creature's name was not given in the game, it was was revealed in a blog post made by the EA Digital Illusions CE sound team prior to the game's release on July 23, 2015. Rayboo originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were mentioned in the 2006 reference book The New Essential Guide to Alien Species, which was written by Ann Margaret Lewis and Helen Keier.
