The video opens with Rebel Alliance starfighter pilots and their astromech droids scrambling into a hangar where their starfighters are stationed. The narrator explains that in a "galaxy of adventures," a pilot can always rely on their trusty astromech droids.
R2-D2 greets Luke Skywalker before being loaded into the astromech socket of a T-65B X-wing starfighter. Other rebel pilots and their astromech droids climb aboard their ships. Luke and R2-D2 fly their starfighters through a hyperspace wormhole and exit in the middle of a space battle.
During the battle, Luke's X-wing's laser cannons go offline. Luke gets R2-D2 to check if he can lock it down. R2-D2 descends inside the X-wing and repairs the ship's circuits and systems. With the ship's cannons restored, Skywalker is able to shoot down and destroy several TIE fighters.
