Pyussh berry

Pyussh berries were a type of berry found on a planet in Wild Space. The Chiss Mitth'raw'nuruodo used berries that had been fermented and crushed as a lure for an indigenous species of small nocturnal animals as part of his assault on Imperial forces from the Venator-class Star Destroyer Strikefast. Mitth'raw'nuruodo used the explosive berry to create diversion, bombing an Imperial camp and sneak on a cargo hold.

Pyussh berries first appeared in the new Star Wars canon in the 2017 novel Thrawn by Timothy Zahn and the book's audiobook version of the same name. They were first pictured in the first issue of Star Wars: Thrawn, a 2018 comic adaptation of the novel illustrated by Luke Ross. In the Star Wars Legends, they were first mentioned in the 1995 short story Mist Encounter by Zahn. The story was first published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 7 and was later adapted into the first two chapters of the canon novel Thrawn, where the berries first appeared.
