Proximity sensors, also known as alarm sensors, or enemy proximity warning indicator, identified approaching ships, such as the sensors that could be observed by the crew on the bridges of Venator-class Star Destroyers, or life-forms, such as the sensors installed in MSE-6 series repair droids.
The blue proximity sensor in Din Djarin's N-1 starfighter used Futhork characters, which said "SYSTEMS ONLINE • TURBO BOOST ENACTED • LIFE SUPPORT ACTIVE." When Din Djarin left Nevarro, the sensor turned red when Gorian Shard's pirate gang showed up, although for reasons unknown, the entire image was mirror-inverted.
