Protein mash was a food served to prisoners on the Republic Correctional Alliance prison ship Restitution. The female Twi'lek inmates Lourna Dee and Sestin Blin bonded over the bad taste of protein mash when Dee was first brought aboard. Sestin said she did not enjoy her protein mash, asserting that no-one had ever tasted anything worse. However, she would eat Dee's if she did not want it as prisoners needed to keep up their strength for labor.
