Pritarr communicated over long distances using low-frequency sounds, such as an infrasonic "purr", in their search for prey. Their sensitivity to these sounds allowed them to detect seismic activity long before it happened, which the Untamed used to their advantage by preparing for disaster if their pritarr were restless.
