The title of Prince Militaire was a leadership position in the Paataatus species' government of the Paataatus Hiveborn. In 18 BBY, a Paataatus was a Prince Militaire, and ruled their people under the command of a remnant of the Nikardun Destiny government. The prince, along with the Paataatus, were freed with the aid of the Chiss Senior Captain Thrawn during a skirmish against the remnant's forces on and above the Paataatus homeworld of Nettehi.
The position of Prince Militaire appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, the second installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.
