The Primordial Pool was the mythical source of life for the Er'stacians of the planet Er'stacia. They believed that their ancient forebear, represented by a giant statue known as the Venerable One or the Megalith, had long ago crawled from the pool onto land to allow their species to spread out over their homeworld. When Jedi Master Mace Windu suggested splitting the statue in two to put a stop to a clan war, both rival clans agreed that such a solution would never work because both would want to possess said sinewy segments.
