Wilhuff Tarkin hires Boba Fett to apprehend Han Solo after he left the Imperial Army. Darth Vader disagrees with the decision of using the bounty hunter and Tarkin decides that Vader should prove his superiority by completing the task himself. Fett and Vader both track down Solo until they're both in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina. They fight over him, then Fett draws a lightsaber that he apparently took from a dead Jedi. As the two continue to fight, Han Solo flees the battle and gets off planet in a short-range vessel. Solo escapes the Galactic Empire by attaching his ship to a Star Destroyer and floating away when the garbage is released.
