Power crystals, also known as energy crystals, were a type of crystal used as a power source. Aspiring inventor Avon Starros stole a power crystal off of a maintenance droid at Port Haileap, hoping to use it for an experiment, while she was supposed to be boarding the cruiser Steady Wing. Escaping on a scoot speeder, Avon was pursued by the droid until she was caught by her Jedi minder, Vernestra Rwoh, which allowed the droid to take the crystal back.
