He was present on Coruscant during the unification talks between the Galactic Alliance and the Imperial Remnant. He met with Moff Drikl Lecersen and the two discussed their discontent with having Jagged Fel ruling the Remnant as well as his relationship with Jedi Knight Jaina Solo. Vansyn and Lecersen both started to formulate plans to remove Fel as Head of State.
After the coup that overthrew Natasi Daala as Chief of State of the Galactic Alliance, Fel announced his support to the coup and his belief that the Jedi were right to get rid of Daala. Although Fel did have a minority of supporters on the Moff Council such as Moff Tol Getelles. Most of them however, including Vansyn, were opposed to the coup and made no such secret by speaking to the press about their discontent.
