Poison dart

A poison dart, also referred to as a toxic dart, was a type of dart. Poison darts were fired from needle dart guns to inject poisons. A Kamino saberdart was a toxic dart from the planet Kamino, and was identifiable by the cuts on the side. Kamino saberdarts used a combination of Malkite themfar and Fex-M3, and the bounty hunter Jango Fett once used a Kamino saberdart to kill Zam Wesell. The assassin droid IG-88 carried poison darts.

Asajj Ventress used a during a mission to get revenge on her former Sith Master Count Dooku. She planned to use a Dathomirian poison dart, which was circular with retractable wings and a retractable needle, to numb his senses so her Nightsister allies Naa'leth and Karis could help to kill him. However, Dooku was proven to be too strong despite the poison. On Kenari, its people uses poison darts to attack their enemies. In 5 BBY, a leader of warrior children was killed by a survivor of a Republican starship, leading the children to fire dozens of poison darts at the survivor to avenge their leader.

The assassin Ochi used a sniper rifle to shoot a poison dart, coated in Yurfloo, that grazed the neck of Major Erstin Deez, a member of the Emperor's Royal Guard. Later, when Deez and the other guards, the other guards were poisoned with Ziroxin-12, stood before Palpatine and Grand Vizier Mas Amedda in Palpatine's throne room, they all suddenly dropped dead due to being poisoned, to the surprise of Amedda.
