A platoon leader was a position in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars that was given to a clone trooper in command of a platoon, who held the rank of Clone Lieutenant. Waxer served as the platoon leader of a platoon during the Battle of Umbara.
Within the First Order's Stormtrooper Corps, the stormtrooper Company 77's leadership included platoon leaders. At the Battle of Ansett Island, the company's platoon and squad leaders rallied together in defiance of orders to fire on innocent civilians.
