A plasma activator was a device used to purify and stabilize raw plasma following plasma mining operations. The device produced large amounts of heat, necessitating the use of cooling vents. A large plasma activator was used in the Theed power generator complex to process the unrefined plasma collected from Naboo's core; after stabilizing it, the activator injected the refined plasma to a twin compressor assembly to be used in Theed's power grid.
