Pirgi was an individual who served the New Republic as a sentry at Rogue Squadron's base on the planet Talasea in 6 ABY. Pirgi was killed during an Imperial raid on Talasea, which was designed to eliminate Rogue Squadron, an elite New Republic starfighter squadron. Shortly after the raid, a memorial was held on the Reprieve, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate. At the memorial, Wedge Antilles, commander of Rogue Squadron, gave a speech in memory of those killed in the raid. Shortly after the speech, Pirgi's body, along with bodies of the other five sentries and Rogue Squadron pilot Lujayne Forge, were placed into caskets, and sent drifting towards Morobe, Talasea's sun.
