Pirate King

A Pirate King, Pirate Queen, pirate queen, or pirate monarch, was a term given to some pirate leaders with enough influence. During the Clone Wars, Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka was referred to as a pirate king. Maz Kanata was also recognized as a pirate queen by many individuals including Tjepo Juibop, and her castle's rules were greatly respected by all due to this status. Gorian Shard was also recognized as a pirate king among the Nevarro, including by High Magistrate Greef Karga, who despite taking out his henchmen still respected his power.
