In response to a number of Rebel attacks in the Outer Rim against various hydrocarbon processing facilities, the Empire decided to subjugate the planet of Kheedar to protect its hydrocarbon resources. The Pestage was dispatched to Kheedar, and its stormtroopers and TIE/LN starfighters proceeded to invade the planet.
