Pere was a member of Kara Xoo's of the Nihil, serving aboard the starship Poisoned Barb. When Xoo had an idea for how she could strike against the Jedi and Galactic Republic after the Wevo crisis, she asked Pere how many schools were located on the planet Dalna, and Pere told her there were about a hundred or so. Xoo replied that they had some recruiting to do.
