Crosscurrent was his first addition to the Star Wars universe. He later wrote The Old Republic: Deceived, a tie-in to the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. He has also written Riptide, a sequel to Crosscurrent. On September 24, 2010, Sue Rostoni stated that Kemp had been contracted to write a duology of novels, though this was later cancelled.
