Paul Davids


Paul Davids was the co-author of the Jedi Prince young-reader series along with his wife, Hollace. Paul grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and graduated from Princeton University. Paul studied writing and film directing at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles, California. He later became a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America. His wife began her career as coordinator for the FILMEX Society for the Los Angeles International Film Exposition and is currently Senior Vice-President of Special Projects for Universal Pictures. Paul has worked as a writer and a producer on several television projects including the Transformers animated series (he is credited as production coordinator on 79 half-hour episodes and wrote 4 of them) and the Roswell television movie, nominated for a Golden Globe Award as Best Television Movie. He is popularly acclaimed for pushing the Roswell alien phenomenon into the public consciousness. Films he wrote and directed include STARRY NIGHT (Universal), TIMOTHY LEARY'S DEAD, THE ARTIST & THE SHAMAN, THE SCI-FI BOYS (Saturn Award for Best DVD of 2006), and JESUS IN INDIA (to premiere on the Sundance Channel December 2008). The Davids have two children together, Jordan and Scott, both established in the entertainment business. Scott Davids has major credits as a Hollywood editor or assistant editor on films and TV shows such as BORAT, KNOCKED UP, HBO's FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS and the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen film from Universal: BRUNO.
