In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Pantolomin first appeared in 1992's Dark Force Rising, the second entry in the Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy of novels by Timothy Zahn. It was later depicted in an illustration by Mike Nielsen and Dana Knutson that was included in the Dark Force Rising Sourcebook, authored by Bill Slavicsek for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the same year.
