The Palace was a building within the Unknown Regions planet Quethold's Red City. The City's ruler, the Queen of the Red, resided within the residential wing of the Palace, and in 8 ABY, left the wing for the Dwelling of Guests building—located within the citadel—followed by her entourage. Two days after her visit to the Dwelling, four thousand Quesoth Soldiers rushed to the palace after one of the Queen's loudspeakers were commandeered by the Empire of the Hand, and subsequently commanded the Soldiers to protect alien warlord Nuso Esva with a recording of the Queen ordering that to her forces. In turn, Esva killed the monarch fearing treason while he and his warriors, the Chosen, perished shortly after.
The Palace appeared in the 2011 novella Crisis of Faith, written by Timothy Zahn and published within the 20th Anniversary Edition of his 1991 novel Heir to the Empire.[1]
